A BIT OF HISTORY
After many years of performing with different South Florida local bands and driving their taste in music through years of experimentation, the Soler brothers together with brother from another mother Bassist Alex C., finally managed to bring it all back to what they know best, straight up in-your-face rock n' roll.
With influences like rock, alternative and folk bands ranging from Metallica, Red hot Chili Peppers to Mumford and Sons, the trio found their own style. After that, it was all a matter of bringing to the album, the same energy they bring to their live performances, “We just wanted to make an album that we would love to listen to over and over again, thats all…” said vocalist Chichi Soler.
Expect nothing but a powerful display of energy.
Meet the members
Chael Soler / Guitar
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Chael was always connected to the power of music playing air guitar and listening to the tunes of Iron Maiden and other bands and styles at an early age.
In 1991, at the age of 12, Chael took the next step towards fulfilling his passion to become a musician. After listening to Metallica's black album, his desire to become a guitar player exploted taking him to sign up for guitar lessons and giving Metallica the place as his #1 and most influential band as a musician to the date.
Together with his brother and lead singer of PFG, Christian, he put the wheels in motion for music creation always exploring and evolving through out the years playing in different bands with friends and enjoying many styles of music.
After leaving his home country to move to the United States, Chael opened up to a new world of musical influences starting new bands with friends who quickly became family And ultimately creating Pinkfoot Goliath.
Chichi Soler / Vocals, Guitar
Since the moment he picked up a pair of drumsticks at age 11 in his cousins attic, Chichi began drumming with anything he could find and while letting “rhythm” drive his soul he didn’t realize he would never listen to music the same way again.
Driven by beats and strong complex melodic sounds, he developed a passion for a variety of genres that seemed to live in foreign atmospheres; from strong influences by heavy metal and rock bands like Metallica, Pearl Jam and SoundGarden to iconic salsa artists such as Rubén Blades, and electronic music DJs such as Steve Angello and Carl Cox, Chichi’s sense of music seemed more like a pressure cooker of sorts. Finding harmony within this complicated conglomerate of sounds and beats has been a challenge, however, it’s in this space where Chichi finds himself at his outmost comfort as an artist.
Together with his brother Chael in the guitar, they have been making music since their early childhood; but it isn’t until this date that they finally feel they have made an album that truly shows their identity as artists.
Alex Castro / Bass
Alex "El Zurdo" Castro – Born in Venezuela and son of a single hard-working mother, his love of music began way back when he started taking musical lessons to learn how to play a “El-Cuatro”, a well-known Venezuelan folk instrument.
Alex discovered his love of Rock music when visiting his cousin’s home whom was a big fan of bands like Metallica, Pantera, Sepultura and Queen. But the one that really caught Alex’s attention was a band with skull drawings on their album covers. The band’s name was Iron Maiden. He started studying the band by watching live videos and paid close attention to the bass player Steve Harris.
Now even though his choice of instrument was drums, he was sort of forced to play bass because that’s what was needed when he joined his first band. Alex got the hang of things fairly quick and he was surprised to learn that being a bass player was the way to go. He also learned that without the bass, a song would not be complete.
After Alex decided to move his family to the United States. Once in Miami, he quickly became active in the music scene by playing in a few bands and bars until finally meeting the members of PinkFoot Goliath. Members that would later become more than just bandmates that shared a common interest, they became brothers.
